Advertisment
I choose this picture of the Internet because it really stood out compared to the other
bill board and it looked so simple to make, as you can see the credit card isn't really but looks original because it has the digit and the 'VISA' sigh on it, the XBOX sigh is really appealing because it the only odd colour which stand out against that black background. the Xbox live sigh is also very clear because it stands out and compared too the rest look most appealing even though it is very small.

There is a rule abvout three colour uses but as you can see here there are many colour used but there are three colour which stand out such as the green is a typical Xbox colour
, Purple realy goes with the colour green because it is darker it stands out more.and ofcourse the only other colour that i can see is the white writing. the white writing is really eye catching with the dark puple background it really makes the writing look effective and makes the gamer want to read it.

Examples of logo
Some well-known logos include Apple Inc.'s apple with a bite out of it, which started out as a rainbow of color, and has been reduced to a single color without any loss of recognition. Coca Cola's script is known the world over, but is best associated with the color red; its main competitor, Pepsi has taken the color blue, although they have abandoned their script logo. IBM, also known as "Big Blue" has simplified their logo over the years, and their name. What started as International Business Machines is now just "IBM" and the color blue has been a signature in their unifying campaign as they have moved to become an IT services company.
There are some other logos that must be mentioned when evaluating what the mark means to the consumer. Automotive brands can be summed up simply with their corporate logo- from the Chevrolet "Bow Tie" mark to the circle marks of VW, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, to the interlocking "RR" of Rolls-Royce each has stood for a brand and clearly differentiated the product line.
Other logos that are recognized globally: the Nike "Swoosh" and the Adidas "Three stripes" are two well-known brands that are defined by their corporate logo. When Phil Knight started Nike, he was hoping to find a mark as recognizable as the Adidas stripes, which also provided reinforcement to the shoe. He hired a young student (Carolyn Davidson) to design his logo, paying her £17.50 for what has become one of the best known marks in the world (she was later compensated again by the company).
Another logo of global renown is that of Playboy Enterprises. Playboy magazine claims it once received a letter at its Chicago, Illinois offices with its distinctive "bunny" logo as the only identifying mark appearing where the mailing address would normally be written.
Corporate identities today are often developed by large firms who specialize in this type of work. However, Paul Rand is considered the father of corporate identity and his work has been seminal in launching this field. Some famous examples of his work were the UPS package with a string (replaced in March 2003) IBM, Goodwill Industries and NeXT Computer.
An interesting case is the refinement of the FedEx logo, where the brand consultants convinced the company to shorten their corporate name and logo from "Federal Express" to the popular abbreviation "Fed Ex". Besides creating a shorter brand name, they reduced the amount of color used on vehicles (planes, trucks) and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in paint costs. Also, the right pointing arrow in the new logo is a subliminal hint of motion.

New feature in Grand Theft Auto
Car modification: Most automobiles in the game can be modified and upgraded at various garages. All car mods are strictly visual apart from a nitrous oxide system which gives the car a speed boost when activated; and hydraulics, which lowers the car's height by default and allows the player to control various aspects of the car's suspension. Other common modifications include paintjobs, rims, body kits, side skirts, bumpers and stereo system upgrades.Gang wars: The goal is to gain as much territory within the city as possible in order to earn money. Battles with enemy gangs are prompted whenever the player (either alone or accompanied by fellow Grove Street Families members) ventures into enemy territory and kills 3-4 gang members. If the player then survives multiple waves of enemies, the territory will be won and fellow gang members will begin wandering the streets of these areas. Occasionally, your territory will come under attack from enemy gangs and defeating them will be necessary to retain these areas. Once all marked territories are claimed for the Grove Street Families, they no longer come under attack.
Robbery: Continuing the series' tradition of controversy, home invasion is included as a potential money-making activity. By stealing a robbery van, CJ is able to sneak into a residence at night, and cart off valuables or shake down the occupants.
Minigames: Numerous minigames are also available for play in San Andreas, including basketball, pool, rhythm-based challenges (dancing and 'bouncing' lowriders, with hydraulics), and video game machines that pay homage to classic arcade games. In addition, there are the aforementioned casino games and methods of gambling, such as betting on virtual horse races.
Multiplayer: A two-player cooperative mode has also been added for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions. Accessing this mode will launch a series of special objectives similar to 'Rampages' from previous Grand Theft Auto games. Two human players will be able to travel by car or on foot. Both players are required to remain on the same screen and within a reasonable proximity of one another.
Money: The money system has been expanded upon, compared to previous titles. Players can spend their cash on gambling, purchasing weapons, buying meals, etc. However, excessive spending can force the player to sink into debt, which is shown in red negative numbers. When the player leaves a safehouse, CJ gets an unexpected call and a mysterious person tells him about his debts. Four gang members suddenly appear and shoot Carl on sight if he does not erase the debt when the mysterious person calls him a second time.
Setting of gta game
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a sandbox-style action-adventure computer and video game developed by Rockstar North. It is the third 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise and fifth original game overall. Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in October 2004, the game has been put on to the Xbox and Microsoft Windows, and has received wide range of sales figures on all three platforms. San Andreas was preceded by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and was an updated newer version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. In this there are many more thing you can do like eat, train, and pimp up cars.Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas takes place within the fictional state San Andreas. It is based on sections of California and Nevada, comprising three major fictional cities: Los Santos and the badlands correspond to real-life Los Angeles and the California badlands; San Fierro corresponds to real-life San Francisco; and Las Venturas and the surrounding desert corresponds to real-life Las Vegas and the Nevada desert. Players can climb the half-mile (800 m) tall Mount Chiliad (based on Mount Diablo), parachute from various peaks and skyscrapers, and visit 12 rural towns and villages located in three counties: Red County, Flint County, and Bone County. Other notable destinations include Sherman dam (based on the Hoover Dam), a large secret military base called Area 69 (based on Area 51), a microwave dish, and many other geographical features. Previous Grand Theft Auto titles are set in a single city, whereas the events of San Andreas span the entire state. San Andreas is 13.9 square miles (36 square kilometers),[12] almost four times as large as Vice City, and five times as large as Liberty City.
Charecter
The characters that appear in San Andreas are relatively diverse and relative to the respective cities and locales which each of them based himself in. This allows the game to include a significantly wider array of storylines and settings than in Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. The player controls Carl "CJ" Johnson, a young African-American gang member.
The Los Santos stages of the game revolve around the theme of the Grove Street Families gang fighting with the Ballas and the Vagos for territory and respect. East Asian gangs (most notably the local Triads) and an additional Vietnamese gang are evident in the San Fierro leg of the game, while three Mafia families and the Triads who all own their respective casino are more prominently featured in the Las Venturas section of the game.
Like the previous two GTA games, the voice actors of San Andreas include notable celebrities, such as David Cross, Andy Dick, Samuel L. Jackson, James Woods, Peter Fonda, Charlie Murphy, Frank Vincent, Chris Penn, Danny Dyer, Sara Tanaka, rappers Ice T, Chuck D, Frost, MC Eiht and The Game and musicians George Clinton, Axl Rose and Shaun Ryder.[14]
Young Maylay makes his debut as the protagonist, Carl.Over all the infomation given i will know what to base my charecter on and the setting of my game.

Billboard
Well I wanted to do a billboard to promote/advertise my game because as you can see billboards are short and sweet simply because they want the targeted audience to be wow’s instantly, because when you are casually driving you tend to see billboard with stuff like help lines or something similar but when you take a look at it once the short information that was on it the billboard instantly sticks it to your head e.g. this bill board here it only has six words and one image which I thinks stands out also it not a small image Typical billboards are 14 by 48 feet and I think I am going to do something Similar because I think it very appealing and it get the information out straight away. Images are always simple and big enough top look at so it makes it more appealing because it gives the realistic look.

Comparisons

Well as you can see here i have 2 origanal game covers which are censord 18 but i have heard many kids talk about playing these games and saying how fun it is, both games are very different in the sense that 1 is an rpg storyline and the other one is a adventure quest, gta is one of the most popular games ever made because the charecter can do similar things compared to a real human being such as it can eat and get fat, u acn make muscle earn money etc this is the type of game where people like to get themself lost into because it creates a fantasy worl for them to enjoy, many gamer who are proffesional gamer tend to play game because they have had bad expriences or got bullied, i knw this because my mate is a proffeisional gamer ang he work for a company which
trys out brand new games and they tend todo surveys in which they can find out the type of people who play the diffrent genres game.
halo 3 is a wikid game i knw this because i ahve played it myself and really enjoyed i love the graphgic and the game play because it feel so realistic.
When you compare the two front cover gta looks more kidish compared to halo 3 and look really futuristic, gta is more urban compared to halo, halo is as realistic like eating food etc it is more off a simulised realistic hunting mission were u are trying to save planet earth from alien, from this sentence you can tealll the main target aundiece people who are in to aliens space shooting and killing etc.
Look at the difference between the 2 cover as you can see halo on top on the cover tell us that it is xbox live meaning you will be able to play online which is a big seling point also the writing halo 3 is written on top i think they deliberatly did that because they wanted the image to be the main selling point light from one corner and then get darker from the other i thinks show the diffrent of moods also the too diffrent types of world, the surrounding obviously is cgi (computer generated images) because theve created an image of what they think the future would look like. Gta cover is very simple as you can see there are 10 images of charecter car places etc this is a good selling point because the colour is soo eye cathing because many diffrent light colour are use which creates the effect of rain bow which is eye catching, ' grand theft auto' is written the same way as it has allways been written just 'san andreas' is written in such
a ghetto way, it looks like a symbol ang something written like that would catch my eye.

Gta Magazine cover
This is an original grand theft auto magazine cover for the new game that going to be released as you can see it is in black and white which i thinks is, when in wrestling it shows blood on the guys they tend to change it to black and white to not get the minors scared which compared to the magzine it can be represented as violence in the game. as you can see he is holding a gun in his hand which also can be represented as crime, violence and theft this show us that the aundiece it going to attract is going to be someone interested in guns and shooting games.Game Magazine tend to be very over crowded with images and writng but as you can see here, it has only got 1 image of a guy who is in his mid 20 holding a gun which gives the impression of a shooting game, the back ground is very bland which i think is to create a sesnse of isolation of the charecter, the writing (Grand Theft Auto IV) is the only infomation we get at the front cover about the game to make us more interested in the game and create a suspense. (Game Informer) is blended in with the image to make it look good.

21st january
Ive made some valuable point on wat im doing also iv created my foundation for my work lol!
My Ideas
Well iv had many ideas but at the moment in my head i thought about doing a game magazine because u can compare it to a larger Age range and there are many different types of audience, men are steretypically the main target audience for games magazine but i will try makling my magazine appeling to women aswell, i read alot of game magazine so i am very confident about my idea.As you can see there a two/three main colours used in a magazine, the black background contrast with the lime green colour which makes it stand out, also game magazines tend to be really over crowded with images to make the reader a bit confused about wat to read, but because there colours contrast each other they stand out.
The writng used on the front cover is very minimal because the desighner want people to focus more on the image because that is wat there relating and the makers have filled up the page inside the magazine with lots of writing, so the front cover has to be really appeling.
